Doll Large African Mother and Baby
With the beautiful big eyes and the mothers braided hair, the ladies at the YWCA Bangladesh have created a charming doll. . The mother holds a baby on her back in the kanga sling.
This doll is very soft and completely safe for children to play with.
The eyes have been appliquéd on the face and the eyebrows and mouth have been hand stitched.
NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN UNDER THREE YEARS OF AGE.
As each doll is handmade, each doll is unique.
Story of producer group accompanies each doll.
Doll is approx. 44 cms tall.
Handmade and purchased from the fair trade organization, YWCA Craft Centre, Bangladesh. The YWCA Craft centres are located in the capital Dhaka, and also in Kalijong and Savar villages. About 450 ladies, many uneducated and previously destitute are employed by the YWCA. Benefits include a compulsory 10% savings programme, interest free loans and health and legal support.
